It will happen at some point in my opinion. All we can do is hope Taiwan is at least able to defend TSMC's fabrication plants (fabs). If any of them face destruction or are unable to manufacture for too long, it will cause an insane semiconductor shortage orders of magnitude worse than the one we just went through

Taiwan is a part of China,why do they fight themselves.

Reminds me of reading an article about it. Invading Taiwan will be much more difficult then invading Ukraine. Taiwan is much more equipped and supplied, plus, it's an island. Amphibious invasion is worlds away more difficult then land invasion.
