Основатель мессенджера Telegram Павел Дуров нашел компромисс с ФСБ, и платформу не будут блокировать вслед за другими соцсетями.

Об этом сообщил зампред комитета по информационной политике, информационным технологиям и связи Олег Матвейчев. По его словам, пока мессенджер сохраняет нейтралитет, его никто не тронет. Но Telegram и не нужна политическая ангажированность.

По словам Матвейчева, Дурову и ФСБ удалось найти компромисс. Основателя платформы убедили, что речь идет о жизнях людей, а через мессенджер террористы ведут переговоры.

Депутат Госдумы подчеркнул, что Telegram «просто площадка с различными блогерами». В нем нет цензуры и манипуляций информацией, как Facebook и Instagram. Разумеется, все изменится, если Telegram разрешит публиковать призывы к убийству россиян.

«Но зачем ему это нужно? Дуров сейчас получает огромный приток трафика, люди из Facebook и Instagram уходят в Telegram. И зачем ему совершать такую же глупость, чтоб его начали блокировать?» - поинтересовался Матвейчев.

I recon Telegram is probably compromised by the Russian state, but the most dangerous thing about it is the time you waste having to download breaches only to find out they are complete dogshit.  I have wasted a lot of time downloading files only to find out they are full of useless crap.

Wouldn't be surprised if Telegram was, Already a lot of red flags and has been for awhile...

2. No transparency report
3. No anonymous sign up (Requires #)
4. Encryption not enabled by default (Doesn't encrypt metadata regardless)
5. No open source clients
