Max thread count for non-upgraded users.

I have noticed an influx of spam threads recently.
Why is there a time filter on posts but not threads?

Just an example:
There is no need for anyone to post this amount of threads in such a short time.

Agreed, let's be more strict please, and make it a hard to use Forum for scammers,
quality will bring as good users and good users will be good content.

It just looks like he has databases to share. I dont know about u, but I think timing isnt as important as long as the content quality is good.

The user is publishing databases that have already been posted on this forum...
This is most cases with spammers, or they are just shit posting (You should never have your post count close to your thread count, that is clear shit post.)

At best, a rate-limit or a system where new users have to wait x amount of time before they can post.

The issue of spam will only get worse as the forum's userbase increases. I've already seen lots of new users get banned for leeching/spam (and rightfully so in most cases). And if they're doing it for credits, they're better off buying (as expensive as it is) or just staying around making good quality posts to earn it.

Most non-upgraded users are already pretty restricted. The only other step forward would be removing the ability for them to post threads until some kind of set goal.

The problem I see is that this won't stop spammers or leeches, they always just take another route to degrade the quality of our forum.

The other issue I see present, is that I think compared to most other English forums we are actually a lot more strict on leeches where you can go to all the competition and see every thread completely full of people who spam and leech for hundreds of threads with almost no moderator actions against them.

There are some things we continue to work on that will make it more difficult for LQ users to use our forum while encouraging more quality people.

Some people ruin it for everyone.
