With the "metaverse" in development and the launch date getting closer and closer, 

how long do you think it will take before the platform is overrun with trolls, hackers, scammers, and overall toxic people

how long will it be until the first metaverse mod menu comes out

how long will it take for the source code to get leaked or the first data breach

how long will it take for the platform to be flooded with scammers

whats the purpose of buying property in the metaverse if its all just code being uploaded to a server that will eventually be leaked, cloned,and sold for cheaper

how long will it take before the platform becomes so toxic that users stop using it

Facebook already over regulates their platform, so what will the response be when they do the same thing with Meta

I think it'll just collapse in on itself as it's just a totally unsustainable platform!

Hopefully not long. It's such a vague and uninspired concept, I can't see many people wanting to have anything to do with it.

I think lack of inspiration comes from the following ;

it requires a very expensive form of tech to participate in (Second life/Habbo Hotel/PS Home were absolute bare minimum on requirements, so anyone on any system no matter how shit, could hop in) If VR in gaming hasn't taken off even after the slew of titles dropping, only 2% of steam users have a VR headset. It's essentially a re-done idea but with a pricey fee to pay at the door.

Metaverse? I wouldn't call the current crypto crap for even a pre alpha metaverse

Sandbox, Decentraland, Block one worst than the other.

We have metaverse in World of Warcraft since 2007 the only problem with it that it was controlled by a company who can do anything in game.

The concept itself is good but we need major developer companies to start developing in it like Activison Blizzard, Ubisoft etc instead bunch of stupid potheads who dump on IDO investors at start then doing the bear minimum for the next 5 years (that is how most crypto projects work these days).

It's controversial tho because the huge corporations like Blizzard don't want to make their players any moneys, they want your time your money for providing a service.

The only way to "force" them is the same thing as "forcing" banks to adopt crypto not to stay out of date. We will have thousands of complete horse shit garbage games like Axie infinity in the years to come until we get to this point.
