There are many forum softwares nowadays. I'm curious why MyBB is selected as the forum software.
When I was very young I was fascinated by forum softwares, my forums always had 0 users of course, but I did test many out. Invision Powerboard, PhpBB, VBulletin, SFM are the old ones I remember. I was always comparing them.
But decade later I see mostly Discourse and Vanilla. But you also have NodeBB and Flarum. They all feel super snappy compared to the old ones. I haven't tested modern forums besides NodeBB. With NodeBB I find the admin panel a bit lacking, but it does feel "modern".
