discord and telegram are terrible for anonymity

telegram and discord don't provide anonymity so they are equally as terrible. pom should stop supporting these terrible applications as they are not fully opensource

his point is there's other messengers which are more private

It is a personal preference really, if you are willing to let go of some (reasonable) amount of privacy to stay better connected its your choice, you can also stay completely hidden but then you will have to deal with the inconvenient communication. Of course its like the law of the jungle, if you are smart you stay hidden, if you are stupid you will get doxed

because it's more acessible and easier to use
