What are your thoughts on Alienware? is it worth it or better to build my own set up? I need a lot of ram for programs. I dont need too big of a hard drive.

Build your own man, Alienware has always ALWAYS been overpriced shite. You're paying for the brand more than anything else.

I completely agree and support. Just a mark-up because of the brand.The quality of services is so-so very tired of them

Agree there man, people need to realise that a huge chunk of product cost is down to branding, and pittance spent on the manufacturing.

Ailenware is crap for many reasons:

1. bad quality (crap heatsink, off brand gpu)
2. no upgrade path (they use proprietary motherboards and psus)
3. Overpriced as fuck

 If you want a decent prebulit there are tons of good and honest system integrators. Otherwise its much cheaper to build a computer yourself.
