Im so upset, my laptop took a dump on me today. I only have my iPad now to do anything with and it sux balls! I was just doing my usual working on some code listening to music and long story short I went to restart my computer and them BAM all I get now is a black screen. Ive spent all day pulling hardware, swapping drives, sticks of ram, pulled the battery hoping it'd do something.. long story short my laptop has died on me out of the blue. All my coding projects & school work is bye bye & my broke ass don't have the money to get a new one no time soon :(  I just want cry cos it was my only computer :(

have you tried turning it off and on again?

yeah I'm aware its still there but until I'm able to have access to another computer to pull the data off the hard drive its gone for now.

just go to some cofé shop that has computers and access your hard drive from there

Your data is still on the drive, you just need to get it extracted,
and since it's a completely black screen, if the pc boots it could be as simple as a screen connection issue.
Try with the hdmi to an external screen.
But if its dead dead just take out the drive and put it in another pc, there is a bunch of units who lets you connect like it is an external drive and from there you can just boot from that drive and save what you need to if the hd goes bye bye.
But for the future, you should back up the important stuff on an external drive so you won't loose it if you get the blue screen and your disk literally dies.

Yeah I know, just don't have access to another computer or have one of those hard drive cloning things so everything is currently lost until im able to recover it all.

it doesn't boot at all, not even into bios. I tried hooking my laptop up with an hdmi first cos that's what I thought it was a screen issue but that wasn't the case. Ive confirmed its a dead laptop though. 

Yeah lesson learned there I need to invest in an external drive to save all my school work & important stuff on cos I deff do not want to ever go though this again. Im so broke though idk when ill be able to replace my laptop, freaking blows.

a coffee shop isn't going to let pull their hard drive out and replace it with mine to get data off & I don't have a hard drive to usb thing to do that
