With the new terafard encryptor that whatsapp rolled out last update i think there is a new tool called sl00ppyT0ppy on github, It can crack messages but you need to get the other person to react to your message with an emoji to trigger the c00m exploit. Idk look into it more.

If you can reach the phone then open a whatsapp web session on your computer / Laptop and scan the qr code. That is the only way i know about.
