Why should we/I respect someone?
If somenes doesn't respect me / you, should we still respect somenes ? why?
"There is a gay person at school (I'm not homophobic). We respect thats person feelings and we don't make fun of such matters in thats person presence. but yesterday thats person made fun of our Muslim friend because muslim friend was wearing hijab. When we say something small to thats person tries to fight us " idk
Might SOME LGBT people misunderstand the about of " liberty "?
I'm not homophobic, I just want to talk about "respect" here and I chose to give such an example.

Why should we/I respect someone? --> By default you should offer a minimum of respect to everyone. Treat people as you would like to be treated.
If somenes doesn't respect me / you, should we still respect somenes ? why? --> What do you mean they don't respect you, if you mean they don't subscribe to your way of life, they just ignore you. You have to differentiate between indifference and disrespect.

The fact you had to mention you weren't homophobic *twice* kinda feels like projection. We've sadly fallen into a 'tit for tat' mentality, where some people think there's some level of grievance heirachy

Are you saying you DO make fun of such matters when *not* in front of them? Coz that's just as bad mate.

where does them being gay come into play here? gay people can still be assholes, deal with them like any normal asshole. You're allowed to call people out on their bullshit - there is no need to throw their sexuality into this problem. Fuck respect, nobody deserves your respect until they can earn it - if they do not earn it, why do you give them the time of day to upset you?

Respect is something you earn through your life. If people are not nice to me I simply avoid them, I can't let myself to become like them and do what they do to me.
