1) Is there a way I can find if a certain email has a mega account and possibly then crack it ?

2) Are mega files and folders public and can be searched without specific links given by the owner?

You could try to use MEGA's password recovery (Maybe it gives back a Message that indicates that the Account exists)

Be aware that if it exists,the owner might be contacted (if you wanna be stealthy)

I also believe google etc dont index the files. aka no you cant search files via google or similar

So the files are pretty much secure unless the owner shared a link to them or his/her account got hacked yes?

Yes.

I like the way you think but Mega links aren't as simplistic as the others.
