September 24, 2022 at 10:59 PM First of all. It depends.
Every person reacts different to different stimuli.
Some people will stay motivated after being patted "good boy" by themselves. That's called positive motivation.
I prefer to base on negative, filtered feedback from myself and from the environment, that's what works for me. That;'s called negative motivation.
It''s all based on what your ooga-booga monkey brain was conditioned to work on in your earliest years in life. Try to find out for yourself.
If it comes to starting a project or learning smth new: just try to have some fun out of it. I know, that reading countless pages of technical documentation, standards etc. can sometimes be boring, but you have to see that it's a part of something bigger.
While doing stuff try to get passionate about it, try to make it fun, interesting and rewarding, not another chore that you have to do. With that approach the endorphins and dopamine will do the rest.
If it comes to something that upsets you.
The more things that involve using your mental capacity you do in your life, the less upset you will feel. Just try to focus on some topics that will keep your mind busy, but be aware, make that time be spent on something that leads to development.
Have a goal in your life, walk towards it, brain chemistry will do the rest.
