Okey hear me out. I've always dealt with the fact that file transfer speeds between a VPS and a my PC don't get to reach even 1Mbps when using (S)FTP which has always been the only protocol that came to mind when having to do this. Until yesterday, when I realized a 54Gb was going to take about and entire day to get transfered to my PC, which was a big nono and I knew there had to be another way around this. AND THERE IS!!! I remebered having web servers download files pretty fast so that's what I did, I simply ran sum apt install nginx and disguised the default "Welcome to nginx!" index to point to the zip. It's literally 7/8 times faster than the shitty SFTP and I don't even care about it just sitting there because it's just a damn minecraft server.
Next time I have to transfer some sensitive data, mann, HTTP is going to be there to cover me up.
