TL;DR: It is not really helping anyone to spread/leak active sets, because it makes next exams harder.Back in October 2021, someone had issue with Offensive Security (for legit reasons or not, but that's not the topic). This guy finally ended up releasing the active OSEP exam sets at this moment (Betapharma & Scada). Result ? - Offensive Security canceled all incoming exams. Students who took days off from work lost them, and they were in good conditions to start, but got the exam canceled unilaterally and without further notice.
- Offensive Security had to rework on a new set (well, indeed here I agree we don't really care, but the thing is still there)
- Sellers got outdated writeups (again, we don't really care, as a seller myself I admit it's a bit annoying but I don't complain because I'm still stealing work from Offsec so I don't feel legitimate to complain). In any case, sellers end up having the new set solution after weeks/month.
- But especially, students (so, maybe you !) got badly affected, because new exam was much harder (for example, in Scada you could compile a shitty Meterpreter payload without encryption, while more complex AV evasion was required for updated exam CowMotors). Plus, you cannot get the support from your friends who have solution, because well, no one has succeed recently.
Offensive Security knew and know exam writeups are sold throughout all the web, they are not dumb, but they don't really care as long it's not publicly available, open to the world. In conclusion, when you spread or leak an active exam, it's also you, student/future exam taker, that will be mostly affected. I hope you guys understand me :) Posts: 148 Threads: 0 Joined: N/A July 28, 2022 at 10:05 AM You make really good points. This has always been the case with exams.
If you wanna sell, at least do it in private. You're right, they've always known this shit happens. But as long as they weren't really public, their image wasn't hurt. So they didn't care much.
The retards thinking leaking exams would hurt the brand only make things worse for themselves and other applicants, students and exam takers.

Fucking idiots. Thanks for understanding, I wasn't sure how this rant would be welcomed :D Of course it hurts the brand, but definitely a bit because they can redeploy new lab in a week or so, while I saw people failing DenkiAir multiple times because it was new and hard (some people failed 3 times). In the end, it makes more money to OffSec. Certs are a joke. Posts: 12 Threads: 0 Joined: N/A August 3, 2022 at 6:45 AM Thanks for the obvious. I would not buy exam leaks whats so ever, its a fucking exam, just study for it, lazy cunts August 3, 2022 at 9:05 AM Who the fuck needs any of this exam bullshit anyway? These certifications are all complete scams. Anyone that falls for these scams should die. #databreach #RIU

I hope you guys understand me :) Some good points I haven't considered. However, you are talking as if there were just one exam, I thought, like the OSCP, there were different exams to take, is it different with the OSEP? I appreciate when I see some course leaks, since I can prepare in advanced, or I can know whether a course is worth it or not. I haven't seen any exam leak yet, and after reading you, I hope less or no-one leak them. Posts: 4 Threads: 0 Joined: N/A November 5, 2022 at 2:55 PM Thanks for sharing!!!
