October 9, 2022 at 3:33 PM CCP (Chinese communist party) operates based on fear. CCP has only one enemy. US will not attack China cause its bad for the press and election. Japan and Taiwan do not dare to attack China. CCP's only enemy is its own people. Only Chinese can attack CCP and overthrow CCP. Thats why CCP has to control the people and press, so people there can be brain washed. But, still, Chinese people see Taiwan as good proof that Chinese can have/exercise human rights, rule of law with independent jurisdiction, and democracy system. So Taiwan is the biggest threat to CCP. Without a free Taiwan, the free world/United States will not be able to convince Chinese that China can exercise human rights, rule of law with independent jurisdiction, and democracy system. Without a free Taiwan, then US becomes the dominant thread to CCP.
Simply put. CCP will invade Taiwan if they think that
1. CCP will be overthrown if Taiwan keeps her current course to pursue complete democracy.
2. CCP will not be overthrown if CCP lost in the war of invasion.
Currently 1. still stands and 2. is not. So CCP will not invade Taiwan any time soon.
PS. Covid-19 helped CCP to exert more control power over its people to a point that 2 might become true.
