Thank's i never knew where they came from only had the file.

FYI, I tested a sample of them -- none of the "tax_id" numbers I tested validated as SSNs.

Updating this:  @9lokk and I compared notes in PM and found different results using different validators.  @9lokk seems correct that tax_id numbers *do* validate as SSNs if you use ssnvalidator.org to check them.  Another ssn validator site that used to be reliable no longer appears to yield helpful results.
