Hi guys,

after reading through the forum i discovered that many of you uses noname vpn's.
Is there any reason to use nonames over big names like expressvpn / nordvpn / cyberghost or else?

all of the larger VPN companies will comply with law enforcement requests, as well as some being owned by ad companies that want to use the vpns to sell/mine your data. smaller no names like iVPN and Mullvad are ran by people that actually care about privacy and have built up trust over time with not sharing using data etc.

that makes sense. is there any thread where all this was discussed already? so i don't create another thread with some questions that was already answered elsewhere.
as example i am wondering how much can a firm give to law enforcements if there is a no log policy like on nordvpn.

if there is actually a no log policy they would probably just give your payment information sign up information and maybe your wireguard keys

Main reason is they are not honest and do not follow the anything they say and ofcourse because most are big targets.

I recommend either

self host your own vpn since probability that someone skilled after you is less.

or

mullvad or protonvpn
Those who share kindness, I will repay that payment 10-fold, and Who do injustice, try to hurt the innocent, I will repay that injustice a 1000 times over.
