Mainly doing data curation. Should I start working on Mac instead or stick with Linux? What would be better for long term? Unix Family Tree Unix ---> BSD ---> OS X Unix ---> GNU ---> Linux Yeah, that's what I kinda heard, that both are build on the same platform. But as development of each OS goes? Is there one that looks more promising in the future? Any pros on one over the other? Posts: 3 Threads: 0 Joined: N/A June 14, 2022 at 12:38 PM I'd say it depends on your needs. Linux gives you A LOT more flexibility, 'cuz it's open-source, while with OS X you're stuck with what the developers push out. Is there benefits to using the newest Ubuntu though or is it better to stick to LTS'? I'm using the 22 and it keeps freaking out, apps keep crash quite often. Friends use 20 and these issues are not so common for them. Yup, that's exactly why I hate all Apple shits. You are in a jail and still chained by a fucking dead egocentric twat. Macs are still handy though  @ Dredgen SunPosts: 184 Threads: 0 Joined: N/A June 15, 2022 at 12:56 PM I will pick Linux! |
