Uganda announces discovery of huge gold deposits

https://www.thecitizen.co.tz/tanzania/news/east-africa-news/uganda-announces-discovery-of-huge-gold-deposits-3842400

Uganda has announced that it has struck a deposit of 31 million tonnes of gold ore, with extractable pure gold estimated to gross 320,000 tonnes.

President Museveni broke news of the find in his State-of-the-Nation Address yesterday, but provided little detail, pointing in general that it would fetch the country more than $12 trillion.

Calling it now; we're going to start seeing reports of human rights violations in Uganda and America needs to intervene as the country needs to have some democracy.

OR

China buys it all up on the promise of infrastructure and growth.

This is 1 of the outcomes. It's between 2l invasion for democracy, or China builds the countries infrastructure and hoovers the gold up.

At no point is it reasonable to assume that Uganda will use the gold for itself and it's own leveling up

Guess what country was building roads in Uganda (and where did they lead to?)? Who really owns Ugandan airport? This was long coming and as usual idiots are suprised and shocked. I am not. China will ask Uganda to pay back the loans.

Oh man, that's a lot , they will for sure need some democracy over there. I am not that familiar with Uganda, but the possible outcome depends on how has bought more people in the government, I suppose.

All eyes need to be on Uganda for the coming future, I can bet money on countries taking interest in their recent discovery. Unless Chinas roadworks is sucking it away already.
