In June 2019, the "World's leading provider of identity information services for professional investigation and identity verification applications" Pipl suffered a data breach that impacted 49.5 million records. The breach included Full names, Email addresses, Vehicles owned, Phone numbers and Home addresses. This data is believed to have been bought from Pipl & LexisNexis and then left exposed by one of their customers.
