Man, I ain't no socialist, however I do think the world has never seen something as bad as capitalism. It is a long topic and the negative effects from it are so many- the financial division between people, the richer get richer and the poorer get poorer, the devastating effect it has on nature, the hypocrisy of big corporations and their "green policies" and so on.

You can be into social policies without being some supposedly ultra crazy socialist / marxist lunatic. I'm sure you're well aware at this point, the word has been used to paint people in a negative light for over a hundred years.

Giving free food in schools / hospitals etc to children who need it would be a socialist policy. But don't let the crazies outside the abortion clinics hear you say that.

Unchecked capitalism was always going to bring us here. If no one enforces the checks and balances (or if they don't even exist to begin with), then we were always fucked.

The green policies stuff really frustrates me too. If I remember right, a lot of the 'eco friendly' companies these days get that status via payment to an organization who approves them as such. So it's potentially just another facilitation payment like so many others. Don't quote me on that 100% though, I can't remember where I read that from.

I am perfectly aware, but I have the tendency to say that before I say something on topics like this one, just because of the "crazies" as you call them.

About the "eco friendly" companies, I wouldn't be surprised. It is really funny to me how they are the biggest hypocrites, you have Volkswagen with their emission scandal a few years back, which appears they have been doing for years and caused way more pollution etc and afterwards a year or two ago, they so willingly and because their are the eco friendly people they are, stopped to serve meat in their factories canteens. Of course, because that will do the trick and save the planet

Hah Yeah, gotta love those Band-Aid solutions. That's what get's me about recycling and such, governments trying to palm the responsibility onto normal people while fully knowing that they're not the ones creating the majority of the pollution and landfills full of waste.

I came to the conclusion that the responsibility is always on the normal people - don't fly, don't eat meat, recycle etc , while the rich can fly with private jets and no one gives a shit :D

Yep, just palming the responsibility off onto other people. It's a classic for a reason I guess.
