yep ... that's exactly what I do ... create throwaway protonmails and sign up for websites/services.. ;) Services like anonaddy or simplelogin can ease the pain of creating individual email accounts. Tutanota, dnmx.org, disroot or self hosted. I sometimes spontaneously use Tutanota, dnmx and disroot is something I will check out though. Do you have any advice/good links to guides about self hosting that you would specifically recommend? If not, I'll just pick a guide on startpage and try that. Too many technicalities (SPF,DKIM,DMARC) and too high chances you get an IP address that triggers all kind of bad reputation antispam alarm.
