I don't see the point, as you could already disable likes/dislikes and comments if you didn't want negative feedback.
It was most likely a push from companies so they could show of their likes, disable their comments and hide the dislikes to seem more favorable.
Protecting creators from negativity is just something someone came up with because the creator can still see the dislikes in their dashboard.
And now, like on TikTok fake or dangerous advice will show likes from people who believe it, get recommended to more people and there will be no indication to clueless people if its dangerous advice.
