The only way this war will end is with Russia taking Ukraine. I can't see any country getting directly involved because it would just cause a full-scale war within Europe which is the last thing anybody wants. It's sad to see this happen and so many people fleeing their country because Putins assmad about Ukraine wanting to join NATO.

I know right. In fact, our old PM Tony Blair even said back in 2014 that we should forget the war in Ukraine, side with Putin to defeat Islam.

I would go as far as to say that it really started after the collapse of the soviet union when Ukraine's independence referrendum voted overwhelmingly to be independent. Russia was never happy that Ukraine wanted to separate from them.

While the most hostile parts of their relationship started around 10 years ago, Putin wanted Ukraine back long before then and was making plans and efforts since he first became president.
