Python or java

If you're starting new, you definetly should start with Java. Python simplifies a lot of concepts, but that might turn into a hassle when needing to code in other languages. I started with Java and had no problem diving into a C# code aside from a few searches online.

Though for simple scripting that doesn't need time efficiency, go Python.

I think you should learn both of them. You can use python for ml and create the ui for it with using java

They are all same. Learn any of the languages, you wont have so much trouble learning others.
Once you get the logic, its just learning hows and whens.
