Hypothetically speaking --

you were defrauded by relatives about 2mil usd.

Getting justice via legal means is out of the question due to the relatives having strong political ties.

You were in a developing country.

You were set on getting back what's yours no matter what.

How would you go about pulling this off?

There are few and I would start on gathering all possible information about the relatives, ALL. Look for their weaknesses and fraud history. And wait for the right moment to come with investment opportunity for them, or maybe wait until their kids are big enough so you can scam the kids.
