Police of The Netherlands arrested today a 22-year-old man suspected of being involved in the hacking of a Dutch politician's Twitter account. The hack took place in the summer of 2020. The police launched an investigation after the report of a member of the Dutch House of Representatives. Possibly it concerns a controversial politician named Geert Wilders. The arrest follows incooperation with authorities of United states of America.

In the investigation, two homes in The Netherlands were searched. Several data carriers were seized in the process. The suspect has been interrogated and is no longer in custody. However, he remains a suspect in the case.

I honestly think it's a waste of government money. He should thank that hacker instead of reporting it to the police because after the takeover over his twitteraccount he knows he uses easy passwords.
