Is windows still relevant for hacking nowadays ?

I'm a windows user, sometimes i switch to linux VM to run certain command that windows can't. I just wanna hear your opinion about OS used for hacking.

Dual Boot dude, You can use windows and linux in same system. I won't consider windows for hacking

Only Linux, you got some distros with preinstalled programs like Kali, Parrot OS, blackArch …etc. or you can build your own tool set and just use normal distro like Debian or Arch.

Microsoft and Google have history of informing LE for illegal activities done on their services, so they spy on you using AI and I will not recommend using any of their OS or any proprietary OS, just stick to FOSS.

Depends on what you're hacking I guess, most tools can either just compile/run on windows (most web related things written in go or python for example). And you can use WSL inside Windows for the rest of the tools. Some things might still not work, but for the most part it's doable.

I can't recommend dual boot, you end up abandoning Linux and using Windows either way. If you're gonna switch, just switch, if you don't then don't, it's just not worth having to organize everything on two systems. That's why I'm recommending WSL, cause you can keep Windows for gaming but use some linux tools and access files from your Windows install and vice versa
