You can reply to threads without typing anything. For example, this user if you look at his replies he's just clicking the reply button then post thread isn't a really serious issue but it's easier for people to leach.

If this is seen the users will be banned. I don't really see the point in investing time into this when it's 0.1 seconds quicker.

People will always find ways to spam on the forums.
