why do malware families written in c++ never utilize the stl

i understand that a base installation of windows does not ship with a msvc++ runtime but is statically linking so bad?

i feel as though the malware would potentially benefit from the additional layer of complexity

Im guessing its because itll increase the size of the executable? When an execuable is small, its best use for binding to another application i think. Just assumption but ive seen many malware use stl.#

About the msvc++. u can always statically link it so that aint an excuse.

/MT to statically include that shit
