The current whitelisted extensions should also be whitelisted for the uppercase versions of them, it doesn't pose any security risk, it's more convenient for someone using something like Windows' "Snipping Tool" which automatically saves images with an uppercase ".PNG" extension, which won't embed in the shoutbox.
People like me are far too lazy to go find the image and manually change the extension, there's no reason to do that when the site could automatically allow the uppercase version to embed in the shoutbox, just like it already does in threads.
