wondering if anyone has any tips/experience in cracking md5 hashes
+ how long it would take to crack around 50k hashes with a 20 core cpu
and also if anyone has experience with bcrypt hashes as well(sorry if this sounds stupid just curious)

Cracking MD5 hashes is very easy, a second hand GTX 1080ti can very easily reach over 32GH/s for MD5 with hashcat, it's hard to say how long it'll take to do 50k hashes because it's just not something you can know unless you know the actual passwords but a GTX 1080ti could go through the largest collection of password in just a couple of seconds.
