One thing I see a lot in threads are low quality replies where people respond using just one word saying thnx or something of that nature. I personally think having a lets say a 25 word count requirement (can be anything reasonable) to post a reply would help with that & get rid of some of the spamish looking replies and kinda force members to be more meaningful / thoughtful responses.

Just an idea I thought that will help clean things up a bit!
