Sub to a member

I would suggest the possibility to sub to a member, but with no visible counter on his profile.
There are members that posts almost everyday valuable content, would be a nice way to support them and at the same time dont fuel cloutchasing by having a public counter of subs on the profile section.

This would be quite complex to implement,

Not to mention (Not saying I would) but if subs were anonymous who's to say we wouldn't just pocket the money and say we are giving it to said user? I feel like if we added a system like this there should be full transparency as to who is supporting you, so you can confirm they're getting the money.

Another idea would be to have a section where people can put crypto addresses for donations on their profile and you could just send em money yourself

Yeah but i meant like free subs like subscribing to a thread, but instead sub to a user and receive a PM or email notification whenever he posts something. But i like that support section with crypto address to support high quality members!

I think it's good, but not for everything
there will be many who accept it and there will be many who refuse
like an application, I think if it's like this it's good enough

Maybe something like an RSS feed for profiles?

People already put donation addresses in their signatures, I find it disgusting.
If something like this were to be implemented, we should be able to put our crypto address into our settings and the money would be directly sent there, no intermediary, less fees. This obviously wouldn't work on currencies with a private blockchain such as XMR since the payment can't be confirmed (unless transaction details are provided but bleh), but a simple bitcoin implementation wouldn't take long. An hour max to code.
