Github is for getting banned there permanently and losing your code even before your SSD dies. And also for making it easier for the authorities to call your code illegal and to arrest you unless you are taking anonymity measures carefully.

Well, if you use the SSD this way, as something like "quasi-RAM", as I would call it, AND if you agree to lose one day of work once, then yes. But I don't think programming requires so fast read/write speeds very often, to justify the efforts in the end of each day. And if you are installing two disks anyway and tolerate slightly slower saving time during your work instead of backup copying after the work, then a RAID of two HDDs will be a cheaper, more reliable, and easier to use option.
