I guess so, I mean if there is no innate meaning to the universe, and it was possible to make a very good simulation, why would you choose the original universe, over one where you can program yourself to assume its the original, and make the world much better. Only thing I see getting in the way is actually making it. But I doubt we are in such a simulation considering how much suffering there is across the world, doesn't add up to me.
