Just thought I'd see what all of the fellow stoners of BF are smoking these days. Personally, always got C99 on rotation.

Oh Boy I miss my Sour Tangie from Canada. The last bit I saved til summer this year from production of 2021, but now its gone. Its all sold now as infused, no flowers available, period. If you can ever get your hands on that, you need to try it. Its the best medical made Ive ever had. Made by Aurora Medical Canada / they have a different name for the recreational stuff, I dunno.

24k with the mandarin like pheno also was available from a friend, organic homegrown, til a few weeks ago - and boy I miss it already.

Next the Purple Dog Bud by Tilray Canada was stopped too - so my last bit of that strain is in use at the moment. Second best medical strain I ever had, stopped too :(
Some OrangeNem by Humboldt Seeds ist still left too.

My day to day is some weak white widow medical with 19% THC since a while, sadly not too tasty and always purchased too dry (which is why I guess the terps are gone - once too dry even rehydration aint bring back the quality loss)
which is why I often step to the Jeck Herer medical from Bedrocan Netherlands, nice Lemon Skunky terps and strong head high! Its a savior!

And in a few days, the Malawi Strains are cured: 180days flowering time 100% sativas,
kinda trippy stuff.

So yeah, thats my rotation since 2-3 months.

I stopped smoking 10 years ago and only vape. But it aint the holy grail either. Oral consumption is imo still the best, but I rarely do that myself...

Must be great buying all that goodness legally. Mind if I ask what the experience was like before and after weed becoming legal was? In terms of picking up and overall acceptance?

I cant tell you. Recreational use aint legal in my host country. Medical use with doctors prescriptions are.
My personal expirience without romaticising it: Quality is good and steady, prices drop rapidly, medical weed is between 7-15USD/g and its only sold in real pharmacys here (not like headshops or California Weed-Pharmacies.)
For the first few years quality and selection rised,
but now its dropping again.

I hear rumors that the recreational market just grants more profits, that is why the really tasty terp stuff does not make it to the medical market any longer (See Sour Tangie).
My best guess is that this is right! Medical import into my host nation requires crazy effort into acquiring the licenses. Starting a legal business is said to be 250k+ in investment and requires alot of qualifications from working in pharmacys and having masters degress and such.
Seeing the seeling price of lets say 7USD/g, for imported goods from Canada to Europe - this stuff must be sold for 2USD/g from the manufacture.
Just check out how big f.e. Aurora became. They have production facilites measured in square miles - no joke.
So it makes sense to me that they mass produce "low quality" terp stuff for medical use, as its only required to have steady cannabinoid qty, and usell the strains that require longer flowering time (and are more expensive to grow therefor) for the recreational market.

Acceptance in the general population got better - threw all ages and social layers.
The polls before were always around 40-50% acceptance, now its more like 60%+ for both medical and recreational use.

But after a long day of work, I still have struggles finding some good strain! From 100 strains maybe 5 are really what some cannafeur would like.
But I tend to forget that I do not bother for impurities any longer: Everything is clean and perfectly cured, no fears about synth. cannabinoids (really popular in europe to punch weed with it, or even use legal CBD and just sell it with synth. cannabinoids).
And that is worth everything to me! Rather not tasty and not that the greatest high, but not worring about this bullcrap any longer!

Cali vs. prescripted Medical: I can tell you the 510 Cartdriges from like Spain and other top vendors, or Cali imported Weed for ~500-700/oz is still really popular with my friends who are all a little "potheads". The medical stuff is nice, but at roughly the same price you can get the TopShelf competition stuff, so the most people I know do not exclusivly use medical weed but still buy cheaper black market stuff for their "day2day" and more "premium" stuff for good taste.
Homegrown also is still very favorable, as price and quality is the best deal here. Its like getting 25%+ Cali stuff for 5-10USD/g, which is unbeatable.

So, actually I have mixed reports - sadly. I wish it would be a little bit "better", and not this "stressful" strain hunting...
