IVPN is an obvious choice, but Mullvad is almost as good and is quite cheaper, so yeah. Proton is still decent imo, but what I like more is Tutanota.

They had to, but that was because of Europol intervention, they don't have to comply with anything outside of Swiss legislative, but paranoia is a bitch and I can definitely understand not trusting them after that, something like cock.li sounds good enough too (but they had to provide info of some of its users a few times too).
