Optus connected their database API to the fucking net without even requiring a login. They were migrating their databases and made that mistake. This kid just scraped them as they were available to the public.

I reckon he shut it down because they paid and Optus couldn't bear the embarrassment from the Corp World. The quicker they can shut him up the better they can make it go away rather than have it drag on for days! They had him look like he was going away but really THEY PAID
