Hello,

Asking to learn how to find out if a hash has salt, if it has salt, what type it is, etc; then we can convert it to plain text. So we ask who knows:

1- Having a hash string, how to know what type it is and if it has one or more salt.
2- Having done point 1, what is required to be able to convert it into plain text.

Regards.

use hashcat and a wordlist https://breached.to/Thread-Rockyou2021-txt-FULL-Wordlist-8-3-B?highlight=wordlist
Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, and ideas are bulletproof.

Hi @blood

Link shared was a thread closed. However, before posting the following was done:

1 Install hashcat.
2 Create a dictionary folder with rock2021 (before downloaded).
3. Use the command line and execute. However, with the hashes tested it did not find anything. (Neither with hashes onlines applications like crack or hash or others).

Then, The identification of the hashes is SHA1, what type of salt is unknown. For example, if you have a hash of the database say of epik or any other, how to do to find out what kind of jump or pepper has. As far as it is known, every database has a pepper for each of the salts of the hashes. So how to know the pepper and salt has every hash?

The other issue, that of rainbow passwords, is also unknown how to do and, if in this case it would serve to take out hashes in plain text.
