best anti-virus is not installing unknown stuff

Just avoid downloading sketchy programs and you should be fine. You could use Bitdefender or Malwarebytes if you need to.

It doesn't matter which antivirus it is. An online and up-to-date database is important. When the library becomes old, it does not catch new viruses.

avast free is  fine   i only use for full pc scan and       startup scan   .
