The note on top of Queen Elizabeth II's coffin during her funeral on Monday was a handwritten message from her son, King Charles III . The message read: "In loving and devoted memory. Charles R". The "R" in King Charles' title refers to "Rex," which is Latin for king .

Who do you hate more though? Those who write the laws or those that the laws are written for? Or maybe those peasants that elect those who write the laws?

It's a pyramid of power and wealth. You may even think of it as a food chain. Those with influence and power will always make decisions and write laws to benefit themselves and those higher up that are even more powerful than them, rather than to benefit those beneath them who elect them, with least power and wealth but who count many in numbers (but who still don't want to vote in elections).

I'm sure none of us would complain if we were at the very top of the pyramid.

you are right none would complain if we were at the top of the pyramid but of course the top is the minority which is why the pyramid should be upside down with smallest number of people possible being on bottom

Maybe you should be mad at the fact that an inheritance tax exists in the first place.

Interesting perspective...

But then wouldn't that mean that there would still be someone at the bottom who is least fortunate of all and perhaps suffering greatly? Maybe not even having money for food and shelter. Would that not be injustice, even if it's only one person? Maybe a former king even.

You say should be... who's gonna make it so? Those at the top of the current pyramid? I don't think so. It's always most difficult to push for change starting from the bottom. Same goes for money, earnings, etc. Also, you have to ask yourself why is it that the current pyramid exists to begin with. You have to go back to history for that one. The current elite hardly arrived at the top by pure chance, like winning a lottery.

However you turn it, there is going to be injustice and hardship for someone. Nothing worth having comes easy.

Lastly, assuming you made it to the top, would that make you happy? I mean like would all the wealth, riches and power make you happy and sleep well at night? I really doubt it. I mean... what do you have to live for if you don't have to go to work, go to school, where you don't have to lift a finger to get things done for you? Including evading taxes, obviously. I think it's a boring life not being challenged, like never ever.
