reports I saw named over 1 billion users however HIBP were not able to verify the breach due to alot of the sample data being publicly available or junk data however the whole breach is supposed to be about 34gb of data from users edit just seen other reports stating over allegedly up  2 billion records were leaked also tiktok is refuting any claims that backend was breached stating "the code in question is completely unrelated to TikTok's backend source code"

It may be a possibility that the source of the leak is not directly from the tiktok infrastructure, it may be from a public source or an external collector, however the reports include paypal tables which makes the origin even more suspicious

It was fake. ATW is banned for 2 weeks.

I think ATW was permanently banned :exclamation:

Of course, Tory Hunt immediately tweeted confirming the data breach... so many details that I feel as if he is studying to get a doctorate degree

Most people absolutely do not care what Tory Hunt writes on his Twitter, he is not a representative of the company and cannot confirm anything,
one way or another, the data leak could have occurred at a ByteDance subsidiary located in China (Beijing) that processes and stores this data

Agree with you completely, I'm just saying that certain people want to attract readers by posting everything they come across.
