Sorting by recently updated on github is always a goldmine. 
Plenty of skids in discord servers(especially if they tried to crypt it(aka they themselves know its shit)).
Also wierd russian ransomware in the 2010's written in delphi or pascal (tbf that is how I started)

Have to say writing your own wares is already a big step. Nowadays theres a tendency to just dl some chinese installer+crypter and run with it.
Either way big respect to writers and those coming up

In an old Discord raiding server, I met a guy who was trying to show off his batch trojan. It would curl a whatsmyipaddress kind of site, save the contents to a string, and then send it back to the owner via Discord webhook. At the time, I was impressed. But now...
