How do you prefer to organize data on a target?

We have all been there, got a target in sight, collecting OSINT, running scans, checking emails in leaked DBs, ect ect

Question is what do people like to use to actually organize all the data together, especially for planning out attacks or double checking previous scans? Keep it all in your head? A folder of the target and just accumulate a bunch of text outputs? Maltego?(eww reaching out to 3rd party servers).

I swear these days it feels like organizing shit is harder than the actual hacks themselves, so Im curious what other people like to use.

Organizing data is the best thing which will help you out ultimately.. preparing notes and sections accordingly will be the most helpful .. organizing can be done with a lot of tools. ranging from a simple notepad, ms one note to cherrytree.. create different pages for each host each machine, each step.. & categories & you will find a network map with a seam less flow.

Nothing beats the old notepad for me really. I just keep a folder with a txt file of general info, and any documents/images/etc i gather go in the same folder for storage.
