I do agree with you on one point, the AUR is a great thing for beginners, it gives you the ability to compile and install virtually 99% of software that currently exists on public spaces like github or gitlab. Without prior knowledge of compilers, compiler flags or programming.

There still runs the risk of installing malicious AUR packages which is something that happened before and will unavoidably happen again. Because it is user/community driven, there always runs the risk of a malicious person trying to cause harm.

Yeah, a lot of those distros are amazing because of the environment that's built on top of them, just like you said. I would even say that Ubuntu is the same way for me personally, part of what makes me love it is just how clean it looks.

i like ubuntu for the GUI and user experience and kali for security tools

I was for ubuntu and pop os, but i'm trying now Manjaro and is actually really grate, totally ouf of my apt confort zone but is fast to learn.
