Sure you can make money, depending on what you do. I just wanna add that bug bounty can be really stressful. While some people do live off of it, it's a gamble and you don't wanna be in that situation if it's what puts food on your plate. A 9-5 infosec job is like any other job.

that's not bat. you can become hacker, but you need to learn more books.

To be honest, you should follow your own "dreams" and not have others tell you what you should do and whatnot. It'll be worth it in the long-run

Depends what your doing although many hackers come from a software development background so its probably best to work on that first so you get a decent understand of how stuff works before you try to break it.
