Sort of, but we have access to different types of entertainment and distractions we never had access to a millennia ago. This makes it difficult for people to make significant rebellion because we might not entirely want to get rid of the comfort we have now.

Yeah 100%, it's collapsing has been for years, maybe even centuries at this point. People are getting to sensitive, most govs are straying very far from their actual purpose, which was to serve the people. Now they just sit in a high chair without actually asking the people what they want, what they think would be good.
