nothing ? i dont think : leaks give you lots of informations, you can know if an email address registered successfully on a website on witch email validation is required : so the email address is pretty reliable.

But indeed an email that appears on this site is not necessarily valid i agree, although it is unlikely..

i get your point but also read the title of this thread. Even if i talk about the data from a specific leak. if i have to spam on their email i would still want a clean list so my smtp don't get flagged due to high bounce ratio.

As a web developer, there could be a lot of things at play here including ghost blocking your ip range etc.

When I've worked for companies, they had systems that will act like they've sent a password reset, but actually they didn't because the IP address was blocked or from a blocked country. So all login requests, password resets etc will fail even if the password is correct.

we are talking about managing deliverable email list. I have figured out everything now that if a username is signed up for email doen't mean it's deliverable. There are many ways to determine it's deliverability, like mx record check, dns information on server. otherwise before sending your final mail you have to send test mails using free email service like yahoo or gmail to seprate valid and bounced emails. There are still many catch-all domains that can never be validated.
