How Did Your Journey Start?

I am on a bit of a learning curve, lately.

Where I used to run away from learning to code, now, finding myself on the same path again, where learning to code seems to be the best bet.

And.. I got curious...
.
.
.

How did you start your coding journey?

What inspired you? Caught you? Or drove you?

For me.. it was modding games, that was the beginning, down to coding robots (mechatronics - arduino), then, customizing scripts and CSS for web dev. Wbu? Now, I am learning to hack, so down to python.
(P.S. Help needed, in getting python down, any free advices/courses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!)

I started with batch scripting but when the limitations became too bad i switched to python and on the side i learned linux. after all that i got big into web pentesting and there i am now.
If you're going the same route i HIGHLY recommend these platforms:
  • pentesterlab (there's a free version, pro costs 20$ a month)
  • postswigger academy (free)

I started programming when I was 12 (maybe even younger, I don't really remember).
At that time, I often saw my older brother busy doing something in front of a laptop, not gaming tho. So, I asked him what was he doing, and that's when I was first introduced to Blogger. It's my first touch with HTML/CSS, but not Javascript, because I thought JS is so complex that it's not even written by a human.
Soo, I can't call myself a programmer yet (because i know HTML isn't a programming lang nerd), but eventually, I learned JS anyway much later, followed by PHP (for Wordpress), Python (for scripting), and now I'm learning C++ in college.

Bro it's funny, used to be a professional tournament player (played Street Fighter 5 in my local scene), met one of my online buddies at a tournament and he was a full stack dev and he inspired me to try it and I got into it lol.
